After a whirlwind romance with house music – which culminated in DJing at the world famous Manchester nightclub The Hacienda – Matt turned his attention inwards, hung up his headphones and jetted off to Mysore South India to immerse himself in Ashtanga Yoga. In the 25 plus years of being immersed in Ashtanga Yoga (in both practicing & teaching) Matt has taught yoga all over the world including Europe, India and America. He has set up and established yoga studios in Manchester, London and Los Angeles. He has an A-list private clientele, which includes stars from the music and film industry and also players from the English football premier league.
Matt has a level 2 Ashtanga Yoga teaching authorisation from Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Jois. He continues to practice daily in between teaching and looking after his kids. He is an ambassador to the Operation-Shanti charity which is based in Mysore South India, organising fund raising events.
Mollie first discovered yoga at her university gym when she was 18 and was instantly hooked. After more than a decade of exploring a range of styles, from hatha to yin, her practice deepened during a transformative trip to Rishikesh, India, where she fell in love with Ashtanga yoga. She recently returned to India to complete her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with the Rishikesh Yoga Association in Tapovan.
Mollie brings a high-energy, encouraging approach to her teaching, rooted in curiosity, consistency, and the belief that yoga is a lifelong or “100-year” practice. Her classes are dynamic and progressive, designed to build strength, confidence, and familiarity with more challenging asanas over time.
At the same time, Mollie is passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive space. She offers adaptations for all levels and fully encourages students to honour their bodies, whether that means attempting a new asana or resting in balasana.
Having spent many years in the hairdressing industry and 20 of them owning a Hair and Beauty salon in Greenwich London, Alison took the opportunity after the pandemic to reassess her life and pursue a lifelong desire to become a yoga teacher.
Having taken early retirement she set off to Goa to attend the Sampoorna school of yoga and do her 200 hours Ashtanga teacher training programme.
Over the next 3 years she has regularly taught many different forms of yoga and attended yoga retreats in several different countries and now wants to share the benefits of this wonderful practice.
The Yin style of yoga that she is offering is suitable for all abilities with its gentle stretching and quietening of the mind.
